RailRiders walk off with 3-2 win

Rehabbing Yankees outfielder Clint Frazier singled home Brandon Drury with one out in the ninth inning to lift the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders to a 3-2 victory over the Bisons, Wednesday afternoon from PNC Field.
Frazier, who also added a home run in the second inning off Herd starter Sam Gaviglio, produced the game-winning hit moments after Buffalo had fought back from 2-0 down to even the score.
Frazier is with the RailRiders in his return to play program following a concussion during spring training.
With the score tied at two, Drury opened the bottom of the ninth inning with a sharp single into left field off of Bisons reliever, Murphy Smith. During Kyle Higashioka's at-bat, smith tossed a wild pitch off the glove of Bisons catcher Reese Mcguire, allownig Drury to get into scoring position. Frazier then drove a 2-1 pitch back up the middle, easily scoring Drury for the game-winning tally.
Frazier's homer earlier in the game was one of two solo blasts off Gaviglio, who otherwise was fantastic in his fourth start of the season. The righty struck out eight and allowed just four hits over 7.1 innings, the longest outing for a Bisons pitcher this year.

Gaviglio and reliever Sam Moll kept the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre lead to just two runs, giving the Bisons a chance to tie the game in their half of the ninth. Tim Lopes drew a one-out walk and Rowdy Tellez continued his recent strong stretch at the plate with a line drive single to center. A wild pitch and a ground out allowed Lopes to score to narrow the gap to 2-1. RailRiders second baseman L.J. Mazzilli then botched an easy grounder from Reese McGuire that couldn't ended the game. Instead, the ball went off his glove, allowing pinch runner Anthony Alford to score.
With the three-game set in Moosic, PA concluded, the Bisons will return home for a seven-game homestand that starts with a 6:05 p.m. first pitch Thursday night against Syracuse.
