CLINTON, IA (July 12, 2017) - The Clinton LumberKings rode a come from behind effort to a rained shortened 9-3 win over the Dayton Dragons on Wednesday night at Ashford University Field. Luis Rengifo paced the LumberKings (7-13, 38-49) offense with a 3-for-4 night at the plate that included, five RBI, with two doubles, and a home run.
Robert Dugger started for the LumberKings and allowed all of the Dragons (6-14, 47-43) runs in the top of the first inning. Four straight hits opened the game for Dayton, to bring home the first two runs of the inning with the third and final run of the rally scoring on a Nick Zammarelli III error at first base.

Rengifo doubled off Dragons starter Tony Santillan with two out in the inning and scored when Yojhan Quevedo singled to right. One of Santillan's (5-5) three wild pitches eventually scored Quevedo who had moved to third on consecutive walks.

Rengifo then homered to left center field for a three-run blast that gave Clinton a 5-3 lead, his eight home run of the season.
