TACOMA, Wash. -Bryan Evans allowed just one run across 6.2 innings and eight batters in the Rainiers lineup managed multi-hit performances during Tacoma's (54-56) 13-1 victory over the Oklahoma City Dodgers (60-48) Friday night at Cheney Stadium.
Evans (4-1) limited the Dodgers to just one run on six hits and struck out five Oklahoma City batters. During his third straight quality start, Evans tossed 64 of his 96 pitches for strikes and lowered his season-long ERA to 4.08.

The Rainiers launched four home runs against the Dodgers Friday night, including an inside-the-park round-tripper by center fielder Andrew Aplin in the bottom of the fifth. Aplin (3x5, 2 R, HR, RBI), catcher David Freitas (3x5, 2 R, HR, 4 RBI) and first baseman Daniel Vogelbach (2x5, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI) highlighted a spectacular offensive night for the Tacoma offense.
Tacoma's 19 hits were the most the club has managed since tallying 21 against Salt Lake on June 22. Additionally, third baseman Seth Mejias-Brean (2x4, R, 2 RBI, BB) extended his hitting streak to 13 games.
Right-hander Ryan Garton (2.1) didn't allow a baserunner during another impressive relief outing that lowered his ERA to 2.25. Garton added two strikeouts to increase his season total to 35, good for third-best in the Tacoma bullpen.
Tacoma opens a four-game series against Colorado Springs Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. Right-hander Casey Lawrence (6-3, 2.81) will receive the start for the Rainiers and righty Adrian Houser (1-1, 4.61) is slated to pitch for the Sky Sox.
