Rainiers Face Reno in Series Finale For Annual Pink at the Park Event

The Tacoma Rainiers (45-48) will host the Reno Aces (40-52) for the series finale on Sunday in Cheney Stadium's annual Pink at the Park event. Tacoma will roll out Southpaw Jonathon Niese (4-2, 5.04) to face Reno right-hander Joel Payamps (0-1, 4.50) for a 1:35 p.m. PDT matinee.
It's Pink at the Park, where we encourage you to wear pink to support breast cancer awareness and prevention. Ryan Court launched a three-run home run as the Rainiers locked up their second-straight against Reno on Saturday, 9-7. Court's blast was his fourth in as many games, making him the first Rainiers hitter to homer in four-straight since Mike Zunino in 2016. Tacoma scored in each of the first six frames and southpaw Sean Nolin tossed six innings of one-run ball. Ian Miller stole his 25th bag, extending lead over teammate Tim Lopes (23) and tying Luis Polonia for fourth all-time of Tacoma's career leaderboard with 71. Aaron Northcraft earned his second save when he went the final 2/3 of the ninth retiring both batters he faced.
