Tacoma blew the contest wide open with an 11-run top of the ninth inning. It was the Rainiers first inning with 10 or more runs scored since June 28, 2006 at Las Vegas. Tacoma sent 16 batters to the plate in the top of the ninth and scored 11 runs off just five hits, at one point drawing five consecutive bases-loaded walks.
