SALEM, Virginia (August 14, 2019) - The Salem Red Sox scored five unanswered runs en route to a 7-5 win over the Frederick Keys on Wednesday night at Haley Toyota Field. It was the Red Sox fourth straight win and gives the team a chance at a sweep tomorrow.

How it Happened
* The Sox scored the first run in the third on a double by Grant Williams (his Carolina League debut) and then back-to-back singles by Garett Benge and Ryan Fitzgerald
* Frederick scored five of the next seven runs and the Keys led 5-2 after 4.5 innings. Victor Acosta hit a leadoff home run in the fourth and Pedro Castellanos (triple) and Keith Curcio (double) added RBIs   
* Salem tied the game in the sixth after a Garrett Benge RBI single scored Williams
* The Red Sox took the lead for good in the seventh. With two out, back-to-back walks set the table for Jagger Rusconi and Elih Marrero. Both had RBI singles.
