Red Wings Top Knights with Late Game Production

Noah Schultz began the game for Charlotte and the left-hander surrendered a Home Run to the first batter he faced. Schultz immediately rebounded and retired 11 of the next 13 batters he faced. Schultz finished with one run allowed through four innings in his first appearance with the Knights since June 26.
The Knights tied the game up 1-1 behind a trio of third inning singles from Dru Baker, Jason Matthews, and Mario Camilletti. Two frames later, Andy Weber gave Charlotte a 2-1 lead with a solo Home Run over the right field wall.
The score remained 2-1 until Rochester put together a seventh inning rally that was capped by a two-out, two-run single. The home team then quickly added two more runs before an out was recorded in the eighth.
Nick Altermatt delivered an impressive relief performance out of Charlotte’s bullpen and fired a pair of shutdown frames. Baker led the way offensively and was the lone Knight that recorded multiple base hits.
The series is now knotted up at two games apiece with Game Five slated for Saturday evening at 6:45pm ET.
