After a 4-0 loss to the Oklahoma City Dodgers, the Reno Aces have been knocked off the top spot in the Pacific North division of the Pacific Coast League standings for the first time in 62 days. Over this span, two Aces have received the phone call they always had dreamt of, going to the Big Leagues for the first time. Illdemaro Vargas was promoted to the major league roster on June 29th. The Venezuela native is the D-backs number 20 prospect and batted .303/.360/.447 for the Aces before his call up. Anthony Banda also made his major league debut this month, getting his first start against the Washington Nationals.
