Riders blank Naturals for second straight win

SPRINGDALE, Arkansas (August 27, 2026) - For the second straight night, pitching shined bright in a 7-0 win for the Frisco RoughRiders against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals Thursday at Arvest Ballpark.

Frisco (27-27, 66-56) scored in the first for a second consecutive night, as Arturo Disla lifted a sacrifice fly against Northwest Arkansas (22-32, 51-70) starter Hunter Owen (3-7) to make it 1-0.

Riders starter Cole Stasio fanned five across three innings in his start, surrendering just one hit in a scoreless performance. Eric Loomis and Leandro Lopez (2-2) followed to combine for four scoreless frames.

In the top of the seventh, Frisco tipped the game over, scoring five times to take a 6-0 lead. Arturo Disla and Yeison Morrobel bounced two-RBI singles back up the middle to provide the padding.

After Max Wagner homered in the ninth, his 19th of the season, to push it to 7-0, Josh Trentadue delivered the final outs.

Notes to Know:

• The shutout was Frisco’s first since July 24 at San Antonio.

• Morrobel extended his hitting streak to nine games with a three-hit performance.

• Disla drove in three of Frisco’s seven runs and had a pair of hits.

Frisco now seeks three wins in a row Friday night and will face RHP Drew Beam (7-10, 7.04) in a 7:05 p.m. start from Arvest Ballpark.
