CHARLESTON, S.C. - With the season winding down, the hardware keeps rolling in for the first-place Charleston RiverDogs. On a vote decided by their league peers, RiverDogs Strength Coach Jeff Dolan and Athletic Trainer Michael Sole were each named the league's best at their respective positions.
Both Dolan and Sole are in their first season with the RiverDogs and their second in the Yankees system in full-time positions. Dolan garners the Strength & Conditioning Coaches Society's Strength Coach of the Year award for the South Atlantic League while Sole was awarded the top honors in the SAL from the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainer Society.

Dolan garners his second Strength Coach of the Year award after he earned the nod in the Appalachian League while with the Pulaski Yankees in 2016. The Rochester, N.Y. native previously held strength and conditioning internships at the University of Notre Dame and University of Buffalo and earned his B.S. in exercise physiology and kinesiology from Brockport State and his M.S. in exercise science from the University of South Florida.
Sole is finishing up his first season as Charleston's trainer after holding the same position with Short Season Staten Island in 2016, and beginning his career with the Yankees organization as an intern with the SI Yanks in 2013. The Parsippany, N.J. native previously worked as an athletic trainer for Florida Atlantic University while he pursued a master's degree in exercise science and health promotion. He is a graduate of Rowan University.
