RubberDucks Alfonsin Rosario named Eastern League All-Star

(AKRON, OHIO) September 21, 2026 – Minor League Baseball announced Akron RubberDucks outfielder Alfonsin Rosario was named to the 2026 Eastern League All-Star team.

Votes for the postseason All-Star team were cast by league managers and broadcasters.

Rosario hit .270/.350/.569 with 43 runs scored, 20 doubles, three triples, 16 home runs and 52 RBI in 66 games for the RubberDucks this season. His 20 doubles and 16 homers led Akron hitters.

At the time of his promotion to Triple-A Columbus on July 13, Rosario ranked top 10 in the Eastern League in extra-base hits (second, 39), slugging percentage (second), OPS (third, .919), doubles (tied fifth), RBI (tied sixth), triples (tied seventh), home runs (ninth) and total bases (ninth, 141).

During his time in Akron, Rosario earned Eastern League Player of the Week honor twice. The first honor was for Week 10 (June 1-7) after he hit .455 (10-for-22) with seven runs scored, three doubles, three home runs (including his first professional grand slam) and 13 RBI in six games played against the Chesapeake Baysox. The second honor was for Week 14 (June 29 – July 5) after he hit .480 (12-for-25) with two doubles, two triples, three home runs and seven RBI in six games played against the Erie SeaWolves.

The 22-year-old Rosario was acquired by the Guardians on Nov. 20, 2024 from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for Eli Morgan. In 108 games between Akron and Columbus, Rosario hit .230 with 29 doubles, 18 home runs and 62 RBI.
