Rymer Liriano Named IL Batter of the Week

Liriano, 26, hit safely in five of the seven games last week and homered in three consecutive games (August 8-10). In addition, he recorded three hits in a game twice, and had three multi-hit games. Over the course of the seven-game week, Liriano was among the International League leaders in a number of categories. He recorded the most extra-base hits (6), and was tied for the most home runs (three), as well as the most total bases (22).
For the season, Liriano is hitting .259 (99-for-382) with 58 runs scored, 14 doubles, three triples, 14 home runs, 45 RBIs, and seven stolen bases in 104 games with the Knights. He was claimed off waivers by the Chicago White Sox from the Milwaukee Brewers on October 28, 2016.
A native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Liriano is the fourth player to earn an IL weekly award this season with the Knights. OF
