Reno, NV - The Sacramento River Cats (52-71) offense was only able to string together three total hits as they were shut out by the Reno Aces (70-54) 4-0 Wednesday night.

Right-hander Jose Flores got the start for Sacramento and threw five innings of one-run ball, doing his part to keep the Aces in check. Reno's run off Flores in the third inning not only got them out to an early lead, but snapped the River Cats streak of scoring first in nine straight games. Right-hander's Collin Balester and Derek Law gave up three combined runs over the next three frames to put the game out of reach.
Mac Williamson collected two of the team's three hits and now has five hits in his last nine at-bats. Pinch hitter Wynton Bernard was responsible for the other base knock on the night. The three total hits were the fewest Sacramento has registered since they had two against Tacoma on July 7.
Left-hander Andrew Suárez (5-5, 3.36) will get the call for Sacramento tomorrow night and will oppose Reno right-hander Braden Shipley (6-6, 6.18). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. (PT) and the game can be heard live online at rivercats.com and on the air on ESPN 1320.
