Summary
Bowie's Mike Yastrzemski homered twice, and John Means dealt eight shutout innings, as the Baysox thumped the Akron RubberDucks, 11-0, Saturday night at Canal Park in Akron, Ohio.

Turning Point
The first three Baysox batters reached and scored against Akron starter Danny Salazar (0-1) in the first inning. Cedric Mullins led off with a double, Adrian Marin walked, and Austin Hays drilled a three-run homer to left field to give the Sox a 3-0 lead.  
Winging It
Means (5-7) turned in his longest outing of the season, as he beat the RubberDucks for the second time this season. He lasted eight innings and scattered six hits, with two walks and four strikeouts. It was his fourth overall start against the Ducks, three of which have come at Canal Park. Salazar made his first rehab appearance with the RubberDucks, and left after giving up three runs in 1.2 innings. He fired 48 pitches, 28 of which were strikes. Salazar is rehabbing an injured right shoulder that landed him on the Indians DL on June 6th. Lefty Luis Lugo worked six innings of relief and allowed seven earned runs.
Duck Tales
Akron was held to 6 hits…Yu Chang was the only RubberDucks hitter to collect two hits. He was 2-3, with a pair of singles.

The RubberDucks (39-36) entered the night in first place in the EL West, a half-game up on Altoona, who played a Saturday night game at Erie…The Baysox (41-39) have won five consecutive games…Yastrzemski was 2-4, with two homers and three RBI…Bowie clubbed four homers, the most allowed in a single game by the RubberDucks this season…The Sox defense turned three double plays…Time of Game: 2:22… Attendance: 8,044.
