Salt Lake Completes 2026 Season with Offensive Masterclass

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The 32nd season in franchise history came to a close Sunday as the Salt Lake Bees unloaded 20 hits in a 14-7 onslaught over the Albuquerque Isotopes. Down 5-0 early, the visitors woke up to score 14 of the final 16 runs on Sunday. All nine Bees had their hands in the offensive effort, with five different hitters recording three or more hits in the victory.

Game Summary

Salt Lake began the sun-splashed Sunday finale with two singles, but failed to bring any of them in. Albuquerque capitalized in the home half, working the scoreboard first with Sterlin Thompson’s two-run home run that narrowly got over the wall. Sam Aldegheri settled in though, striking out three batters in the frame.

Just as they did in the first, the first two Bees reached in the third; both were stranded. The Isotopes seized momentum again via the longball. Following a single and a walk, Charlie Condon unloaded for his 27th homer of the campaign, surging Albuquerque ahead 5-0.

Cade Marlowe made sure the Bees didn’t squander another opportunity in the fourth. The nine-hole hitter unloaded a one-out, three-run blast to get Salt Lake right back into the game at 5-3. However, the yield could have been bigger for the visitors, as they left the bases loaded.

Shaun Anderson entered and pitched a perfect fourth inning, setting up a script-flipping fifth. Salt Lake sent 12 batters to the plate, scoring seven runs on six hits and an error. Marlowe came through to tie the ballgame at 5-5 on a ground rule, two-RBI double before four different Bees tallied RBI singles to eventually swing the momentum into a 10-5 advantage.

Bees pitchers kept the Isotopes in check from there, retiring 12 in a row between the third and sixth innings. In the seventh, Albuquerque cut the margin to 10-6 without a hit, aided by three walks and a fielding error.

The eighth inning response was another statement from Salt Lake, recording another crooked number. Nelson Rada’s wall-ringing two-run double highlighted the four-run frame and helped the Bees extend the lead to 14-6.

Albuquerque did not go down quietly, as Ryan Ritter launched a mammoth two-out solo shot off Kaleb Ort, to move the score to 14-7. After a single, Ort struck out Charlie Condon, tying a bow on the big win that completed the 2026 campaign.

Salt Lake’s victory on Sunday secured the ninth series win of the year and gave them 67 total wins, their most in a campaign since the 2024 season.

Game Notes

• Salt Lake improved to 7-14 in their last 21 season finales (since 2005), winning the final game of the year in back-to-back seasons and in three of the last four years.

• The Bees collected their ninth series victory of the season, moving to 9-10-7 on the year. Additionally, Salt Lake won their 11th series finale, moving to 11-15 in the last game of a set; they won their final two road Sunday games.

• Salt Lake donned their Abejas jerseys for the third time on the road and sixth overall this season. They did not lose in the three road games, defeating Las Vegas (Apr. 21), El Paso (Aug. 14) and Albuquerque (today). Salt Lake was 5-1 in the uniforms, their best record of any jersey in 2026.

• Sunday was the first time since June 19, 2018 Salt Lake had five different hitters record 3+ hit efforts in the same game. Six different Bees did so in that 2018 game (a 17-9 win at Colorado Springs). Salt Lake rode their recipe to success one last time in 2026, as they won while owning the hit column (20 to 5) today. When outhitting their opponent, the Bees finished 48-11 overall and 22-7 on the road.

• Salt Lake scored 14 runs today, their 20th double-digit tally of the season. They finished 18-2 when posting 10 or more runs. Additionally it was their second most hits in a game (20 hits), only trailing May 1 vs. Sacramento’s output of 22 knocks. The Bees won both games where they had 20+ hits in that column.

• Raudi Rodriguez and Arol Vera are the third pair of Bees teammates this season to each record a four-hit ledger in the same game, joining Denzer Guzman and Jose Siri on May 1 and Trey Mancini and Christian Moore on May 26.

• Sam Aldegheri served up two homers in his three inning start today, but also struck out five. It is the second appearance this season (Apr. 9 at RNO) in which he has notched five punchouts while also giving up two longballs. Aldegheri also issued three walks, his third straight start with at least a trio of free passes (13 total in four September starts). The Italian captured 100.1 innings with the Bees this season, the second most in a single season with one team (only trails 2025’s 128.1 IP with Rocket City).

• Raudi Rodriguez finished the season with his first career Triple-A four-hit game, all of which were singles. He quickly extended his hit streak to five games, starting Sunday’s contest with a base hit. It is Rodriguez’ 10th multi-hit effort at Triple-A. Rodriguez swiped a pair of bags, his second AAA game with multiple steals (August 8 vs. OKC) and finished with 36 total in 2026. This week in Albuquerque, the outfielder posted a .385 (10-for-26) average.

• Arol Vera managed his fourth career four-hit performance and first ever at Triple-A. He last posted four hits in a single game on May 7, 2025 with High-A Tri-City. It is his second straight 3+ hit ledger, while having at least one double in each game. Vera batted 10-for-16 (.625) over his last four games. In the previous 40 games, the infielder held a .145 average (17-for-117). Vera drew multiple walks today, something he hadn’t done since July 27, 2025 with the Dust Devils. His fourth-inning double was his seventh with the Bees in 2026, four of which came in Sunday contests. Vera finished with a PCL-leading .556 average after this week’s action and tied for the league lead with 10 hits and four doubles; he put himself in great contention for the final PCL Player of the Week honors.

• Reaching safely in his seventh straight game today was Yolmer Sánchez. He nabbed a hit in 12 of the 18 total games in September, posting a two-hit day in the finale (his 30th of 2026). A well-earned walk gave Sánchez a free pass in six consecutive contests, his second longest streak of the season (seven games, June 26-July 3).

• Nelson Rada stole his 43rd base today, finishing one shy of Jordyn Adams’ single-season franchise record (44, 2023). The left fielder ended his campaign with another three-hit performance, his fourth in September alone. His efforts moved his hitting streak to five games. He doubled twice for the fourth time in 2026, doing so for the second time in the month (Sept. 13 vs. Round Rock). Rada also walked twice on Sunday, moving his total to 72 on the year, the ninth highest total in the PCL in 2026.

• Cade Marlowe posted five RBI today on a pair of extra-base hits, finishing a triple shy of the cycle. He left the yard with his 12th big fly of the season and fifth with Salt Lake since joining the club in late July. The outfielder also tallied his first multi-RBI effort as a Bee, collecting three alone on his home run. He then recorded two more RBI on a ground rule double that tied the game in the big fifth inning, making it a five RBI game; it’s his most RBI in a game since a six RBI day on June 30 with Las Vegas at Salt Lake. Marlowe finished with a three-hit day, his second such game in September (Friday the 4th at Sacramento). Additionally, the outfielder joined Ben Gobbel (Aug. 18 vs. Reno) as the only two Bees to have five RBI in a game batting from the nine hole.

• Niko Kavadas was hit-by-pitch and walked to finish the year with a 10-game on-base streak. Kavadas wrapped up an outstanding September where he batted .339 (21-for-62) with 16 RBI, five doubles, a 1.099 OPS and tied for the PCL lead with five home runs.

• Ben Gobbel drew a walk, ensuring all nine Bees reached base to extend his on-base streak to 10 games. Gobbel reached base in 59 of the 69 games he has played with Salt Lake this season and finished fourth on the team in hits (68) and third in RBI (42) from the time he made his season debut on June 10.

• Zach Humphreys went 1-for-5 with two RBI, two runs scored and reached after being hit by a pitch. Sunday was the second time in two seasons Humphreys scored and batted in multiple runs, marking the first time he has done it since July 25, 2025 vs. Albuquerque at The Ballpark at America First Square.

• Shaun Anderson retired all six Isotopes that came up to the plate in his two innings in relief. He sat down all 12 hitters he faced between the two appearances this week in Albuquerque with five total strikeouts (one today). The righty finished the season with a 6.0-inning scoreless streak and allowed just one run in five September appearances.

• Alex Faedo pitched a clean sixth inning, allowing no runs, no hits, no walks and had zero strikeouts. It marked back-to-back shutout appearances for the right-hander to finish out the month of September with a 2.08 ERA in 8.2 innings of work.

• Rob Kaminsky struck out two in 0.2 innings with two walks and no hits, allowing one unearned run. Kaminsky allowed just one earned run during the month of September across seven appearances and 8.0 innings pitched. He finished the month with a 1.13 ERA and 0.88 WHIP.

• In his final outing of the year, Mason Erla walked one and struck out one in 1.1 innings. The right hander had an abbreviated season at Triple-A, only making six appearances (all in September). Erla finished with a 1.93 ERA (2 ER/9.1 IP) with four separate scoreless efforts.

• Kaleb Ort closed out the 67th and final win of the campaign, striking out three in the ninth inning. He did serve up a homer to Ryan Ritter in his 57th and final appearance of the season. Ort’s 57 games pitched stood tall as the most in the PCL this season, second most in Triple-A and sits as the fifth most single-season appearances ever by a Bees pitcher in franchise history. They are the most since Jeremy McBryde’s 62 appearances in 2015 (who sits second behind Gus Gandarillas’ 63 apps in 2000).
