San Antonio Loses 3-0 Lead Late, RoughRiders Walk Off For 7-3 Victory

FRISCO (Aug. 12, 2026) — Max Wagner’s walk-off grand slam in the ninth handed the San Antonio Missions a 7-3 loss to the Frisco RoughRiders.

Fernando Sanchez turned in one of the better starts of his career, throwing five shutout innings while allowing just one hit and striking out four.

As Frisco struggled against Sanchez, the Missions jumped out to a 3-0 lead. Carson Tucker drove in Luis Verdugo with an RBI triple, his second of the season.

In the fourth, Albert Fabian drove in Romeo Sanabria with a sacrifice fly that made it 2-0 San Antonio.

Fabian added another RBI in the sixth to push the lead to 3-0, as his RBI single scored Jackson.

The RoughRiders’ offense came alive in the late innings. A Max Wagner RBI single made it 3-1 in the sixth.

In the eighth, Frisco tied the game at 3. Sebastian Walcott scored on a Max Wagner fielder’s choice. Ian Moller then singled up the middle to score Wagner and even the score at 3.

Frisco then won the game in the ninth. After a Marcus Lee Sang single, Rafe Perich reached on a fielder’s choice. After a wild pitch moved Perich to second, Walcott and Chavez walked to load the bases. Then Wagner launched a walk-off grand slam to give Frisco a 7-3 victory, as the Frisco left fielder finished with six RBIs.
