Saucedo's gem gives Bisons 3-2 win

Making his first career Triple-A start,
Saucedo, who joined the Bisons just a week ago from Double-A New Hampshire, already has a pair of Triple-A victories to his name. The southpaw threw 3.1 innings of shutout baseball in relief last Tuesday and put up five more scoreless frames against the IronPigs in his first ever start at this level.
On Sunday, Saucedo allowed just four base runners and erased two of them with inning ending doubleplays. Ten of the outs he recorded came on the ground and he needed just 58 pitches to get through five innings. Of those 58 pitches he threw, 41, or 71% of them, went for strikes.

The Herd scored a much-needed insurance run in the sixth inning as
Cavan finished the game 2-4 with a stolen base and a run scored. He's now hitting .341 on the young season.
Another newcomer, lefty
The Bisons have an off day on Monday before traveling out of their division for the first time this season. A Gwinnett-Norfolk roadtrip begins on Tuesday at Coolray Field in Georgia.
