First-place Amarillo leads the Hooks by three games in the Texas League South second half race with 17 contests remaining.

Jason Schiavone authored his third multi-homer game of the season, his first at Double-A, by launching a solo shot to right field in the fourth and a two-out, two-run homer in the sixth inning, minutes before a severe thunderstorm halted play.

Walker Janek went 1-for-3 with a first-inning single to right field. Janek is batting .378 with a .919 OPS over a nine-game hitting streak.

Justin Thomas Jr., who homered Saturday and Sunday, was 1-for-2 with a walk and run scored from the lead-off spot.

Trevor Austin, who had a first-inning single, and Tyler Whitaker, who drew a walk to start the second accounted for the other Hooks baserunners.

Hagaman struck out 10 over 5.2 innings, reaching his season-high for Ks for the second time in four starts as a Sod Poodle.
