Scott Alexander Acquired By Dodgers In Trade
Former Storm Chasers southpaw pitcher Scott Alexander is on the move, having been acquired by the Los Angeles Dodgers, as part of a three-team trade announced by the Kansas City Royals on Thursday evening.

Alexander has pitched with Omaha over each of the past four seasons, including as part of a Major League Rehab Assignment in 2017. In 81 career appearances with the Storm Chasers, the lefty compiled a 6-5 record and 3.38 ERA (45 ER/120.0 IP), adding 15 saves. He earned MiLB.com Organization All-Star honors at the conclusion of the 2015 campaign after leading all Pacific Coast League relief pitchers in batting average against (.209) while also allowing the fewest baserunners per nine innings (9.38) in that group.
Alexander enjoyed a solid 2017 campaign with Kansas City, posting a 5-4 record and 2.48 ERA (19 ER/69.0 IP) with four saves over 58 relief outings. He owned a 1.30 WHIP while holding opponents to a .246 batting average. In three Major League seasons with the Royals between 2015-17, the southpaw accrued a 5-4 record and 2.78 ERA (29 ER/94.0 IP) with four saves, along with 78 strikeouts. He made his Major League debut with Kansas City on September 2, 2015 versus the Detroit Tigers.

It's early, but is possible both Oaks and Mejia could wear a Storm Chasers uniform at some point during the 2018 season.
