(Binghamton, NY) -The Portland Sea Dogs began their 25th season on Thursday night, but it was Binghamton having all the fun, defeating Portland, 6-0 on Opening Night at NYSEG Stadium. 
Binghamton scored all six runs in the first two innings off losing pitcher Teddy Stankiewicz. Peter Alonso brought in the first runs of the season with a two-run shot. Later in the first with two outs, Tim Tebow blasted a three-run homer on the first pitch of his Double-A at-bat. In the second inning, Jeff McNeil capped off the scoring with a solo homer to right field.

Drew Gagnon cruised through six scoreless frames on two hits to notch the win for Binghamton. 
Portland had four hits on the night, receiving two singles by Tate Matheny in his Double-A debut. Esteban Quiroz doubled, and Josh Tobias added a single
Portland's bullpen pitched four scoreless frames. Trey Ball and Matt Kent each fanned three and did not allow a hit over two innings apiece.
The Sea Dogs and Binghamton Rumble Ponies continue their four-game series on Friday night at 7:05 PM from NYSEG Stadium. Portland has lefty Dedgar Jimenez on the mound against Binghamton righty Andrew Church.
