On Friday night in Erie, the Senators (45-34, 3-6) had a season-high 17 hits in their 7-4 win over the Erie SeaWolves (39-37, 8-2). The big news, though, Friday night was not the hits but Aaron Barrett. He saved the game, his 41st for the Senators, which makes him the all-time saves leader for the Senators. Ian Sagdal had three doubles, tying a franchise record and the Sens had six doubles, a season high. 

Turning Point
Luis Garcia led the game off with a double, followed by a single by Adrían Sanchez sending him to third. Garcia scored on a wild pitch which also moved Sanchez to second. Ian Sagdal followed with this first of his three doubles, driving in Sanchez giving the Sens a 2-0 lead. Tres Barrera doubled, moving Sagdal to third then Dante Bichette, Jr., singled driving in both runners to give the Sens a 4-0 lead in the first inning.
 
On Capitol Hill
•   Will Crowe went seven innings and with the win and is now 7-5 on the season. Erie scored four runs in the third after the leadoff batter in the inning reached on an error. Will retired 13 of the final 17 batters he faced.
•   Aaron Barrett worked two innings for the save. He allowed two hits and a walk but struck out three and tossed a double play in the ninth. 
With the Gavel
•   Ian Sagdal had four hits in the game. Three of the hits were doubles. He also drove in three and scored twice.
•   Luis Garcia, Adrian Sanchez and Tres Barrera all had three hits for the Sens. Sanchez scored twice while Garcia and Barrera both scored once.
•   Dante Bichette, Jr. had two hits and drove in three runs. 
•   The top five in the order for the Sens had 15 of the 17 hits.
Filibusters
•   The save for Barrett, his 15th on the season and 41st in his Sens career, broke the tie with long time Senator Zech Zinicola. Zinicola saved 40 in his years with the Sens.
•   The six doubles are a season high for the Senators.
•   Ian Sagdal equaled Drew Ward's three doubles earlier this season and is a tie for the most in one game by a Senator. 
•   The 17 hits are a season high for the Senators.
