GREENSBORO, N.C. (June 12, 2018) -- Greensboro rallied in the bottom of the seventh but came up short in a 2-1 loss to the Hickory Crawdads in seven innings in Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader at First National Bank Field.  
Down 2-0 heading to the bottom of the final frame, Isael Soto smashed a leadoff home run to pull Greensboro within a run. Marcos Rivera and Cameron Baranek drew back-to-back walks, and Will Allen dropped a sacrifice bunt to move the tying and winning runs into scoring position. Hickory reliever Joe Barlow buckled down, striking out Micah Brown and inducing a Thomas Jones groundout to end the game, stranding the runners on base.
Ryan Dease (1-0) earned the win for Hickory in his Crawdads debut, working 5.0 scoreless innings and limiting Greensboro to five hits while striking out three. Barlow earned the save (2) with 2.0 innings of work. Grasshoppers starter Nestor Bautista (1-1) took the loss in his first start since 2015, allowing two runs on three hits while striking out five and walking three in 5.0 innings.
