Portland, Maine - The Portland Sea Dogs (42-58) have four shutout wins on the homestand, defeating the Harrisburg Senators (51-50), 1-0, Tuesday night at Hadlock Field. Portland has won five of their last six games and clinched a winning homestand.

Portland, Maine - The Portland Sea Dogs (42-58) have four shutout wins on the homestand, defeating the Harrisburg Senators (51-50), 1-0, Tuesday night at Hadlock Field. Portland has won five of their last six games and clinched a winning homestand.

The Sea Dogs scored the lone run in the first inning off losing pitcher Jaron Long (3-7). Danny Mars hit the first-base bag for a double and scored on the double by Michael Chavis. Chavis returned to Portland's lineup for the first time since July 14th.
Righty Mike Shawaryn (6-7) tossed seven scoreless frames on five hits, two walks, and four strikeouts to earn the win. Portland's starters have allowed just two earned runs in their last 51.2 IP (0.35 ERA).
Travis Lakins stranded two in the eighth to earn his fourth hold of the season. Trevor Kelley pitched around a lead-off single to secure his fifth save of the year.
Jeremy Rivera went 2-for-4, picking up his 20th multi-hit game of the season.
The Sea Dogs have a shutout win in five of their last six games. Tonight's shutout was the team's eighth of the season. Portland has clinched a winning homestand and the season-series over Harrisburg.
The Sea Dogs and Harrisburg Senators (Nationals affiliate) meet for the final time in 2018 on Wednesday afternoon at 12:00 PM. Right-hander Teddy Stankiewicz (6-8, 4.62) makes a start for Portland.
