LANSING, Mich. - Jose Siri's two-out RBI single in the ninth forced extra innings, and the Dayton Dragons (28-40, 69-69) went on to defeat the Lansing Lugnuts (26-42, 63-71) in ten innings, 7-6, on Saturday night at Cooley Law School Stadium.

Dayton built leads of 3-0 and 4-2, but a four-run fifth inning, including a Rodrigo Orozco two-run double followed by a Nash Knight RBI double, had put the Lugnuts on top, 6-4.

Siri delivered a sacrifice fly against reliever Andrew Deramo in the seventh, drawing the Dragons within one run, before coming through again in the ninth inning against Dan Lietz with a flare into right-center to tie the game at 6-6.

In the tenth inning, Bruce Yari led off against Lietz (Loss, 2-1) with a single and Taylor Sparks drew a walk. Hector Vargas followed with a sacrifice bunt attempt. First baseman Mitch Nay reached the ball first, but his throw went awry down the right field line, allowing Yari to score.

Dayton reliever Dauri Moreta (Win, 1-2) held the Lugnuts off the scoreboard in the eighth and ninth innings, handing the ball to Jesse Adams (Save, 6) for a 1-2-3 tenth.

Lugnuts starter Dalton Rodriguez struck out five Dragons in six innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits in one walk.

The Lugs' offense piled up 13 hits and five walks in defeat, with every batter save for J.B. Woodman notching a base hit.

David Jacob and Mitch Nay belted back-to-back home runs in the third inning, Jacob knocking his third home run with Lansing and Nay swatting his tenth.

Sunday is the final Delta Dental Kids Day of the season, with Play Catch on the Field before the game and Kids Run the Bases after the game.
