Slegers named Batavia Downs POTW

Pitcher Aaron Slegers has been named the Batavia Downs Gaming and Hotel Player of the Week for July 17-23.

In his two starts for the week, Slegers picked up two wins while tossing 14 innings, allowing eight hits and one earned run. He walked only two and struck out 12. Coming into play Monday, his 11 victories was tops in the International League.

Batavia Downs Racetrack
Batavia Downs Racetrack, America's oldest lighted harness track, features live races beginning July 26 until December 16. There will be Sunday afternoon racing at Batavia Downs from July 30 through August 27 with a 1:15 p.m. post. Matinees are also scheduled for Labor Day September 4 and Columbus Day, October 9 also with 1:15 p.m. starts. Click here for this season's race schedule.
