Sod Poodles Kick Off July 4 Homestand With Back-To-Back Fireworks Nights

Four-Game Homestand Against Texas Rangers Affiliate Features Two Fireworks Shows and Consecutive Giveaway Nights

The Texas League First-Half South Champion Amarillo Sod Poodles will kick off a four-game homestand at HODGETOWN against the Texas Rangers' Double-A affiliate, the Frisco RoughRiders, on Independence Day, Thursday, July 4. The holiday series will feature back-to-back post-game fireworks displays on Thursday and Friday while Saturday and Sunday include fan giveaways.
On Independence Day, July 4, the Sod Poodles are set to host HODGETOWN's inaugural Fourth of July celebration presented by Bell, one of America's Pastime's most sought-out games of each season. Gates for the event will open at 5:00 p.m. for the scheduled 7:05 p.m. game. Following the contest between Amarillo and Frisco, fans in attendance will witness the largest post-game fireworks display to date at HODGETOWN (approximately 15 minutes). Note: the City Hall parking lot will be closed with no parking permitted.
On Friday, July 5, the Sod Poodles will host a second-consecutive night of post-game entertainment with Friday Night Fireworks presented by Republic Services.
On Saturday, July 6, the Sod Poodles will host Space Exploration Night in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing at HODGETOWN featuring a RUCKUS Astronaut Bobblehead giveaway presented by Street Auto to the first 1,000 ticketed fans ages 12 and up who enter the ballpark. Additionally, the Don Harrington Discovery Center will be providing telescopes and a planetarium for fans to interact with and experience.
To complete the homestand, on Sunday, July 7, the Sod Poodles are featuring a Soddies Golf Hat giveaway presented by Happy State Bank to the first 1,000 ticketed fans ages 12 and up who enter the ballpark. Following the game, Sod Pups Club Members will be invited to Run the Bases presented by Children's Dentistry of Amarillo and Fastbraces.
