South Bend Cubs announce upcoming game/promotion schedule
SOUTH BEND, Indiana - The South Bend Cubs have announced their next homestand of the season. Included in this game series is Mister Rogers Day, in recognition of the 50th anniversary of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. Clips and a full episode of the iconic program will be shown on the video board
SOUTH BEND, Indiana - The South Bend Cubs have announced their next homestand of the season. Included in this game series is Mister Rogers Day, in recognition of the 50th anniversary of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. Clips and a full episode of the iconic program will be shown on the video board throughout the game. Daniel Tiger will be in attendance, and fans can sign a giant banner with their own message of thanks to Mister Rogers.
All homestand games take place at Four Winds Field, 501 W. South Street, South Bend. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling the Box Office at 574-235-9988.
Wednesday, August 8, Great Lakes Loons, 7:05 p.m.
- Gates open at 6 p.m.
- Latino Heritage Night: A celebration of the Latino community in and around South Bend. Includes live Latino music and dancers
- Silver Slugger's Day: Seniors ages 55 and older can purchase a discounted ticket to the game
- Post-Game Fireworks: Begin immediately following the game
Thursday, August 9, Great Lakes Loons, 7:05 p.m.
- Gates open at 6 p.m.
- Thirsty Thursday: Enjoy $2 fountain sodas and 16 oz domestic draft beer all game long
- Harry Potter Night: Fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Harry Potter character and bid on game worn Harry Potter-themed jerseys. Proceeds to benefit South Bend Cubs charities
Friday, August 10, Great Lakes Loons, 7:35 p.m.
- Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
- Ivy Tech Night: Visit the Ivy Tech table on the concourse for a chance to win prizes and gather information about Ivy Tech Community College
- Fantastic Friday Fireworks: Begin immediately following the game
Saturday, August 11, Lake County Captains, 7:05 p.m.
- Gates open at 5 p.m.
- Indiana 811 Night: A night dedicated to increasing awareness about reducing damage to underground utilities and promote public safety. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a replica South Bend Cubs locker
- Flat Screen Saturday: Every inning, one fan in attendance will win a 50-inch flat screen TV
Sunday, August 12, Lake County Captains, 2:05 p.m.
- Gates open at noon
- Mister Rogers Day: Special activities honoring Mister Rogers take place throughout the game. Bid on game-worn Mister Rogers-themed jerseys; proceeds to benefit WNIT Public Television
- Classic Car Day: Classic vehicles will be on display and judged. Call the Box Office for more details or to register a car
- Youth Camo Giveaway: The first 1,000 fans through the gates age 12 years and under will receive a camo jersey
- Sundae FUNday: Play catch on the field before the game and meet your favorite South Bend Cubs player during the post-game autograph session

- Poster Monday: The first 500 fans through the gates will receive a collectable South Bend Cubs poster
- Belly Buster Monday: All-you-can-eat hot dogs, peanuts and popcorn with the purchase of an $8 wristband. (Offer must be purchased with game ticket.)
Tuesday, August 14, Lake County Captains, 7:05 p.m.
- Gates open at 6 p.m.
- Two Dollar Tuesday: This week, $2 game tickets
- As a reminder, the gates open two hours prior to the first pitch for all Friday, Saturday and Sunday games throughout the season. The 1st Source Bank Performance Center will be open during home games for all ticket holders.
About the South Bend Cubs
The South Bend Cubs are the Class A minor league affiliate of the World Series Champion Chicago Cubs. Over the past 30 seasons, the team has won five Midwest League titles, most recently in 2005, and has captured 12 division titles. In 2015 the team was named Ballpark Digest's Team of the Year and received the John H. Johnson President's Award, the highest award in minor league baseball. In June 2017, Four Winds Field, home of the South Bend Cubs, was voted Best Class A ballpark in the country by Ballpark Digest.
