SOUTH BEND, IN - Due to the inclement weather, today's exhibition game against the University of Notre Dame has been cancelled. Fans who have purchased tickets to today's game can exchange them at the South Bend Cubs Box Office for a voucher that can be redeemed for a future South Bend Cubs regular season game. Some restrictions apply.

The South Bend Cubs will open the regular season on the road at West Michigan for a two-game series. The home opener at Four Winds Field is Saturday, April 7. Gates open at 5:00pm and first pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm.
Opening Night will feature a number of events, giveaways, and promotions for fans. Muffet McGraw, Head Coach of the University of Notre Dame's National Championship Women's Basketball Team, will be honored prior to the game in addition to throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. It is also the first Flat Screen Saturday as every inning, one person in attendance will win a 50-inch flat screen TV. Additionally, the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive both a magnet schedule and a South Bend Cubs pint glass. After the game, a spectacular fireworks show will cap off the night.

The South Bend Cubs are the Class A minor league affiliate of the 2016 World Series Champion Chicago Cubs. Over the past 30 seasons, the team has won five Midwest League titles, most recently in 2005, and has captured 12 division titles. This year, Four Winds Field, home of the Cubs, was named Ballpark Digest's Best Single-A ballpark. In 2015, the team was named Ballpark Digest's Team of the Year and received the John H.
