Entering play today, 11 of MLB Pipeline's Top 100 prospects are on a Southern League active roster or injured list, representing seven different clubs. Mississippi leads the pack with three Top 100 prospects on their 25-man roster, followed by Montgomery (2) and Pensacola (2).
In addition, over 70 total players appear on a club's top 30 prospects list; meaning the Southern League hosts nearly a quarter of our affiliates future stars. Nearly 30 percent of all SL players are both on both a club's active roster and an affiliate's top 30 list.
Chattanooga leads all clubs with 10 top 30 prospects, followed by Birmingham, Jackson, and Mississippi with 9 each.
