FREDERICK, Maryland (May 17, 2019) -Salem came out on top after a back-and-forth tilt with Frederick Friday night at Nymeo Field as an all-around performance pushed the Red Sox to a 9-5 win.

How it Happened
* Jarren Duran led off the first inning with a single, Marco Hernandez reached on an error and Tanner Nishioka brought the first run in with a single. Ryan Fitzgerald doubled the score with an RBI double to put Salem up 2-0.
* Frederick answered with a solo blast from Willy Yahn in the fourth inning to cut the lead 2-1. The Keys claimed their first lead in the fifth inning with a pair of RBI singles and a run scoring on an error to pull ahead 4-2.
* Salem evened the contest in the sixth frame, Victor Acosta drew a lead-off walk, Garrett Benge singles and Dylan Hardy was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Acosta took home on a wild pitch and Isaias Lucena pushed another run home with a sacrifice groundout to draw even, 4-4.
* Fitzgerald kicked the seventh inning with a walk, Acosta was hit by another pitch, and both came home on a Garrett Benge RBI double. Dylan Hardy walked and Duran pushed two more across with a double to break the game back open, 8-4.
* Acosta collected insurance with an RBI double in the eighth to give Salem a 9-4 lead.
* Robbie Baker debuted for Salem, hurling 2 1/3 innings, allowing just one hit and picking up a strikeout.
* The Keys made a final push in the ninth inning. Yahn knocked a 2-out double to cut Salem's lead 9-5 before Jake Cosart struck out Jomar Reyes to end the contest.

* Tonight's win was the second come-from-behind victory for Salem over Frederick this season.
