Hello, My name is George and I work as a Hospitality Host or as most of the fans say “Usher”. I am entering my 5th season with the South Bend Cubs and truly enjoy what I am doing except for when it rains. The first year was a little hard since we are standing for about 5 straight hours but my legs have gotten used to it. The basis of my job is to assist our guests in finding their seat locations, answering their questions, and making gameday a clean, safe, friendly environment to watch the game. If a spectator asks me a question I need to know the answer or find out.

I am only one of 12-13 Hosts placed throughout the stadium and we all are trying to make the stadium a great place to watch the ballgame. The young fans enjoy the excitement of the game, the splash pad, the batting cages, the Fun Zone, and running the bases after the game. Adults can relax and watch the game, enjoy refreshments and the between the inning events. I try to get to the game a little early while batting practice is going on so that I can go thru my seating area, cleaning seats and maybe getting a foul ball from batting practice that I love to give to a young fan and then watch them smile. Hope to see you soon.
