SRP Park Will Play Host to High School Baseball Championship Game

NORTH AUGUSTA, SC: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, will host another SRP Park High School Showcase on Friday, March 29th as the Aquinas High School Irish take on the Georgia Military College Prep Bulldogs in the Region 7A East Championship. First pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m. The matchup will be the third high school baseball game to take place at SRP Park in 2019. Aquinas will be the designated home team.
"We are thrilled to host Aquinas and Georgia Military Prep in our third game of the 2019 High School Baseball Showcase," GreenJackets Vice President, Tom Denlinger stated. "We are just 19 days away from the GreenJackets home opener, and we are excited to add more baseball to the schedule here at SRP Park before Opening Night on April 15th."
Tickets for the game cost $10 and will be available when gates open at 5:30 p.m. Fans who purchase a ticket for the game will get a "2-for-1" deal. With every purchase of a high school ticket, fans will also receive a ticket to a designated GreenJackets game at SRP Park this season.
"Aquinas is excited about the opportunity to play its Region 7A East Championship game at SRP Park against Georgia Military College Prep," Aquinas Head Coach, Andy Woodard said. "This will be a tremendous experience for our players and all of Irish Nation."
The GreenJackets will have the Hive Pro Shop open with specials and new merchandise for the 2019 season. The GreenJackets will be running concessions, and fans can enjoy ballpark fare while enjoying the SRP Park High School Showcase.
