Star Wars Day With Character Appearances On 9/1

Costumed characters from the films will be in attendance courtesy of the 501st Northeast Remnant and the Saber Guild Corellia. Fans will be able to meet Star Wars fan costumers and take pictures with them on the main concourse throughout the game. Characters currently scheduled to appear include:
- Boba Fett
- Princess Leia
- Imperial Crewman
- TIE Pilot
- Old Ben Kenobi
- Stormtrooper
- Jawa
There will be a scripted Star Wars show beginning during pre-game and running throughout the game. Saber Guild is an international not-for-profit, Lucas Film-recognized Star Wars costuming group that specializes in choreographed lightsaber shows. Temples often perform at charity and community events, as well as comic book and sci-fi conventions, all to raise money for charity and share our love of Star Wars with fans around the world. Saber Guild Corellia is the New Jersey temple of Saber Guild and brings to Star Wars Day at TD Bank Ballpark a Corellian story titled Darkness Rising. While on a mission landing them on Earth, a group of Jedi sense and discover some of their own are being manipulated and brainwashed by the powers of the Sith holocron. The Jedi investigate the manipulation in order to recover their temple members and prevent the Sith from turning more over to their whims.
Patriots players and coaches will be wearing exclusive Star Wars themed jerseys featuring Ahsoka Tano, who was first introduced as Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan learner and a hero in the Clone Wars. She later was the star of her own live action series Ahsoka, a spin-off from the popular Disney+ series The Mandalorian.
The game-worn jerseys will auctioned off online to benefit the Somerset Health Care Foundation and their work to help Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset enhance their facilities, technology and patient care to improve and save lives throughout the community. The auction will start Sunday, September 1 and end on Sunday, September 8 at 9:00 pm.
Throughout the day, fans will be able to enjoy music and clips from the Star Wars films and more activities and entertainment to be announced throughout the planning of this year’s event.
Fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Star Wars characters for the game.
