Idaho Falls, ID - In need of a spark to snap a six game losing streak, the Chukars got just that from rehabbing first baseman Travis Jones. A 2017 Chukars, Jones recorded hits in each of his first three at bats, driving home a pair with a two RBi triple.

A 2017 Chukars, Jones recorded hits in each of his first three at bats, driving home a pair with a two RBi triple. The Chukars never trailed in the game, downing the Great Falls Voyagers 6-2.
Alec Marsh got the start for the Chukars, and pitched three scoreless innings. His momentum carried into the bottom of the third inning, where Idaho Falls drew first blood. With one out new Chukar Tyler Tolbert singled into center field and stole second. Two batters later Clay Dungan drove him home with a single. Jones then singled, bringing up Rhett Aplin, who reached on a throwing error from Voyager first baseman Harvin Mendoza, plating Dungan to make it 2-0 Chukars.
In the fifth inning, Jose Marquez & Dungan started the inning with singles, setting up Jones who tripled home both runs to double the lead. Jones then scored on a wild pitch to extend the lead to 5-0.
The Voyagers scored an unearned run in the top of the sixth inning, but the Chukars came back with a run in the bottom of the sixth, as a Tyler James leadoff walk scored on a Marquez double. The top three in the order for Idaho Falls (Marquez, Dungan, and Jones) finished a combined 8-14 with 4 RBI.
Cody Davenport picked up the win for the Chukars, allowing one unearned run in 2.2 innings of relief. Brady Cox & Joe Lienhard allowed just one run over the final 3.1 innings.
