Stu D. Baker Enters Transfer Portal

An official statement from Stu D. Baker:

Over the last eleven years, we’ve spent countless hours together at Four Winds Field, bouncing in the Fun Zone, splashing in the splash pad, Flying the W, and winning two Midwest League Championships. We even revolutionized the game of baseball by introducing the Sudden Death Home Run Derby for the 2019 All-Star Game.

But after many innings of thought, countless high-fives, and a few hot dogs (and a lot of Philly Steak Nachos), I’ve decided to officially enter the TRANSFER PORTAL.

This wasn’t an easy decision. South Bend has been home. From dancing on the dugout to hyping up the best fans in Minor League Baseball, every game, every cheer, and every smile has meant the world to me. With the departure of my mentor Swoop in 2024, I thought maybe it was time to branch out.

I want to send a huge THANK YOU to South Bend Cubs Owner Andrew T. Berlin for believing in the magic of fun, community, and a little controlled chaos. To Team President Joe Hart and Vice President Nick Brown – thank you for your leadership, support, and for always letting me be…well…me. Your trust and vision make Four Winds Field one of the best places in baseball.

And to the fans… wow. You are the heartbeat of this team. Whether you were cheering, dancing, laughing, or just tolerating my antics, you made every night unforgettable. I’ll never forget the energy you brought to the ballpark and the love you showed me.

This isn’t goodbye – it’s just “see you later.” Once a Cub, always a Cub. ❤️💙
