El Paso, TX - The Sacramento River Cats (31-46) were led by starter Andrew Suárez and left fielder Chris Shaw in their 11-3 victory over the El Paso Chihuahuas (38-41) Wednesday night.

Suarez was exceptional in his third career Triple-A start, holding El Paso scoreless over his six innings while walking three and striking out six. He threw a season-high 103 pitches (64 for strikes) and even drew his first walk at the plate. The left-hander did not allow an extra base hit and left seven Chihuahuas' baserunners stranded.
Shaw backed up Suarez's outing with an impressive night of his own, finishing 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs. In the fifth, Shaw put Sacramento up 6-0 with a three-run home run, his fourth long ball of the season. The cleanup hitter also notched his ninth double and came up a triple shy of the cycle. The two hitters in front of him, Jarrett Parker and Justin Ruggiano, each scored two runs as well and the trio combined to go 8-for-15 with six RBI.
Sacramento will seek to win the series tomorrow night as they send left-hander Michael Roth (4-4, 4.11) to the mound. He will face El Paso's right-hander Tyrell Jenkins (4-8, 7.43). First pitch is set for 6:05 p.m. (PT) and the game can be heard live online at rivercats.com and on the air on ESPN 1320.
