The Rome Braves shutout the Greensboro Grasshoppers2-0 Sunday afternoon at State Mutual Stadium before a crowd of 2,005.

2-0 Sunday afternoon at State Mutual Stadium before a crowd of 2,005.

Rome scored their first run of the afternoon in the third on Marcus Mooney's RBI double for the 1-0 lead. Turns out, that's all they would need but Rome added an insurance run in the sixth thanks to Drew Lugbauer's run scoring single for the 2-0 final. Rome's pitching scattered five hits, walked two, and struck out seven en route to the win.  
Jeremy Walker (6-11) gets the wins and Thomas Burrows earns his third save of the season. Ethan Clarke (3-2) is hit with the loss for Greensboro. 
Rome and Greensboro conclude the series and the home stand Sunday at 2 p.m.
