Frederick, MD -The Cowboy Monkey Rodeo returns to Nymeo Field this weekend when the Frederick Keys take on the Buies Creek Astros. Fans can also enjoy three different artist-themed fireworks shows.
One of minor league baseball's top promotions, the Cowboy Monkey Rodeo comes to Frederick for two shows this year. The first time Team Ghost Riders has made two trips to Nymeo Field in a season, fans can take in shows on Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28. Both games begin at 6 p.m with gates opening one hour prior.

This one-of-a-kind spectacle features monkeys dressed like cowboys, riding dogs as though they were horses while herding goats. Team Ghostriders will do several in-game "teasers" between innings before a full show after both games. Operated by Tim "Wild Thang" Lepard, the Cowboy Monkey Rodeo has performed at sports venues across the country and has even been featured on Monday Night Football.
Following Saturday's game and a show by Team Ghost Riders, there will be Blake Shelton-themed fireworks sponsored by Precision Heating and Cooling. Then on Sunday, the fireworks will be Hootie and the Blowfish & Darius Rucker-themed presented by Visit Myrtle Beach. Prior to Sunday's game, fans can also enjoy a pre-game catch in the outfield when gates open at 5 p.m. Plus, there will be two players signing autographs on the concourse. This fun is all part of Sunday Funday sponsored by Chili's.
The homestand begins on Friday at 7 p.m with gates opening at 6 o'clock. Chopped Junior Winner and Ijamsville native, Danielle McNerney, will be making an appearance and is scheduled to throw out a first pitch and test out new menu items at the ballpark. Following the game, there will be Red Hot Chili Pepper fireworks.
For tickets to the upcoming homestand, fans can call the Keys at 301-815-9939 or visit frederickkeys.com.
