Mushinski was the Astros 7th round pick in the 2017 draft out of Texas Tech. He has made ten appearances, seven of them starts, and owns a 2-0 record with a miniscule 1.90 earned run average. He has recorded 54 strikeouts in 42.2 innings and limited opposing hitters to a .209 batting average against him. The 22-year old left-hander has not allowed more than three runs in any of his outings this season.
Sandoval was selected in the 11th round of the 2015 draft out of Mission Viejo High School in California. He has compiled a 5-1 record and 3.31 ERA this season in 11 games, seven as a starter. He has collected 52 strikeouts and issued only 10 walks in 49.0 innings on the mound.
