CLEARWATER, FL – Cole Moore’s two-run homer tied the game at two in the second and Otto Kemp sealed a second-straight walkoff for the Clearwater Threshers (53-25, 9-4) in a 3-2 victory over the Palm Beach Cardinals (40-38, 3-10) on Friday night at BayCare Ballpark. The Threshers go for the series victory against Palm Beach on Saturday.

The Cardinals plated two runs in the first on four hits to take an early lead. Felix Reyes got the Threshers first hit in the bottom of the second with a leadoff double. After a walk to Jordan Dissin, Reyes was caught in a rundown and picked off trying to steal third base. Cole Moore tied the game on a two-out blast to right off Palm Beach starter José Dávila to even the score at 2-2.

Emaarion Boyd led off the ninth inning with a bloop single to center off Palm Beach reliever Chandler Arnold. He advanced to second on a wild pitch before Ricardo Rosario walked. Bryan Rincon flied out to left, but both runners tagged and advanced, placing the winning run on third. In the first pitch of his at-bat, Kemp hit a hard grounder to third base. After a diving stop, Michael Curialle was unable to throw out Boyd at home, who slid in safely to secure the walkoff 3-2 win for the Threshers.
