Summary
Trenton's Yefry Ramirez struck out 10 batters over five innings, and Miguel Andújar drove in three runs, as the Thunder blanked the Akron RubberDucks, 8-0, Tuesday night at Canal Park.

Turning Point
Andujar's two-run double off Akron starter D.J. Brown (0-2) keyed a four-run third inning rally that gave the Thunder (19-11) a 5-0 lead.  
Winging It
Ramirez (4-0) fanned 10 RubberDucks hitters in his five innings of work, utilizing a high fastball that sat consistently at 93 mph. The 10 K's were one short of the 23-year-old's career high. He encountered and worked out of one jam, which came in the fourth inning. After giving up a double to Mike Papi and issuing two walks, he struck out Eric Stamets to leave the bases loaded. Brown worked four innings in the losing cause, giving up seven runs (six earned). He walked four and fanned two.  
Duck Tales
Tyler Krieger smacked a leadoff double for the Ducks (12-17). Papi was 1-3, and raised his average to .295. Right-hander Cameron Hill relieved Brown in the fifth and tossed three scoreless innings.
Notebook
Trenton pitching registered 13 strikeouts in the game…For the second straight night, the RubberDucks were 0-7 with runners in scoring position…The Thunder now has a whopping eight shutouts on the season…It was Akron's second shutout loss this year…Centerfielder Greg Allen underwent hamate surgery on his right hand Tuesday and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks…Time of Game: 2:34 …Attendance: 3,297.
