20 Former Whalers Players & Hockey "Special Guests" to Meet Fans at Luncheon and Opportunity to Take Batting Practice
Hartford, Conn- The Hartford Yard Goats Baseball Club, the Double-A Eastern League Affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, has announced that tickets are on sale for the Hartford Whalers Alumni Luncheon presented by UConn Health. The BBQ luncheon will take place on the playing field at Dunkin' Donuts Park on Saturday, July 28th from 11AM-2:00 PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to take batting practice during the BBQ from 11AM-1:00 PM and then an autograph session will take place with a limited edition Poster Giveaway in the YG Club by Frontier Communications from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM. Tickets are $50 each and proceeds from the luncheon will benefit the Yard Goats Foundation. 20 Former Whalers Players plus Hockey "Special Guests" will be part of the event.
Fans may purchase tickets to the Whalers Alumni Luncheon by calling the Yard Goats at 860-246-GOAT (4628), online at www.yardgoatsbaseball.com, or in person by visiting the Click It or Ticket Box Office at Dunkin' Donuts Park.
The Whalers Alumni Luncheon is part of "Whalers Alumni Weekend Presented by UConn Health," which will pay tribute to the former NHL franchise. The Yard Goats will be wearing special hockey style designed uniforms for the weekend series against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (July 27-29). The festive weekend will also include an on-field pregame ceremony honoring the former Whalers players, autograph session, two Atlas Fireworks shows, and a hockey puck giveaway. Many historic Whalers moments and highlights will be shown to the fans on the outfield videoboard.
