Norfolk got a strong outing from Jayson Aquino, but three Pawtucket pitchers combined to limit the Tides to six hits in a 3-1 win over Norfolk Tuesday night at Harbor Park.

Aquino (1-4) cruised through his first five innings before running into trouble in the sixth frame. Making his first appearance in a game in 12 days, Aquino limited the Pawsox to one hit through five innings before being touched up for three runs on four hits in the sixth. Ryan Courts, Steve Selsky and Blake Swihart all had RBIs in the frame to give the Pawsox a 3-1 advantage.
Aquino walked one and struck out five in the contest to register his second Quality Start in six outings with the Tides this season. He threw 51 of his 87 pitches for strikes and has now allowed three earned runs or less in each of his last three starts.
The Tides plated their lone run of the contest in the third frame, as Logan Schafer led off the inning with a single, moved to second on a double by Luis Sardiñas and scored on a single by Chris Dickerson. Sardiñas now has three doubles over his first two games being outrighted to Norfolk.
Marcus Walden (3-2) earned the win after allowing one run on four hits over five innings of work. Kyle Martin followed with 2.1 shutout innings of relief before Jamie Callahan retired the final five batters of the contest to earn his first save of the season.
Johnny Giavotella had two singles and a stolen base for Norfolk, which dropped its fourth straight contest.
The two teams will continue their three-game set on Wednesday night at Harbor Park, with first pitch set for 6:35. Gabriel Ynoa (1-4, 6.00) gets the start for Norfolk and will be opposed by right-hander Kyle Kendrick (1-3, 6.81).
