BELOIT—The Beloit Sky Carp came up just short in trying to get their first victory of the season, losing 2-0 to Wisconsin Friday night.
The Sky Carp pitching was outstanding, allowing just a first-inning run before posting seven straight zeroes. The Timber Rattlers put up a run in the ninth inning to cap the scoring.
Dax Fulton was terrific, allowing the single run in 5 1-3 frames, while giving up just two hits. Raul Brito and Sean Reynolds combined for 3 2-3 frames of scoreless, hitless ball to keep the game close.
The fans were treated to an intimate and fantastic fireworks show following the game, while during the game the new Knockerball promotion was a big hit.
The two teams will play again at ABC Supply Stadium Saturday at 6:35 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. The Sky Carp will give away t-shirts to the first 1,000 fans through the gate.
