Celebrating their Timberjacks Saturday, Missoula (21-19) defeated Billings (16-24), 5-1, at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field. Osprey closer Mailon Arroyo earned his league-best seventh save of the season, allowing only a hit in the final two innings.
O's starter Tyler Poulin held the Mustangs off the scoreboard in his four innings, only allowing two hits, while striking out six.

Missoula right-hander Liu Fuenmayor (W, 3-1) relieved Poulin in the 5th, giving up the lone Billings run on two hits. The newest Osprey pitcher in Mitchell Stumpo (H, 1) pushed through the 6th and 7th, striking out three batters. Osprey pitchers combined for 13 strikeouts on Mustangs batters.
The scoring began in the 1st for the O's, finding production with two outs. Tristen Carranza, Spencer Brickhouse, and Liover Peguero all singled, reaching the scoreboard first.
An additional two runs scored in the 3rd when Osprey lead-off batter Cam Coursey reached base on a four-pitch walk, and Dominic Canzone singled. Peguero knocked in his second run with a base hit, again with two outs. Peguero's batting average leads the Pioneer League at .372.
The top five batters in Missoula lineup finished 8-18, scoring all five Osprey runs.
Missoula concludes a seven-game home series tomorrow afternoon, first pitch at 5:05 for Kid's Club Membership Day vs Billings. Seniors receive two-for-one ticket deals, with kids 10 and under able to get in for free.
