Time to nominate a teacher!

Unum Teachers Hall of Fame
April 4, 2019

Today's educators are investing their time in developing our leaders for tomorrow. Through education, children gain the skills & values necessary to become strong leaders in our communities. Maine's future depends on how well we prepare these students for success in college, career and citizenship.

Today's educators are investing their time in developing our leaders for tomorrow. Through education, children gain the skills & values necessary to become strong leaders in our communities. Maine's future depends on how well we prepare these students for success in college, career and citizenship.

Unum and the Portland Sea Dogs will once again recognize Maine's top teachers through the Unum Teachers' Hall of Fame - Starting 9 program. Please note that nominees MUST be within Maine's Public-School System.
The nomination process is simple, and this will only take 10-15 minutes of your time to complete! So, step up to the plate and complete our official nomination form. Anybody can fill out a nomination, so please pass along to Principals, Teachers, parents of students or others. We will select nine teachers from grade levels K-12, who are helping to prepare Maine's future.
Each recipient will receive six (6) tickets to the Sea Dogs' game on Friday, June 21 at Hadlock Field. They will join us in the picnic area for an all-you-can-eat dinner with five of their guests. In addition, the teachers will also get the opportunity to view the game from a skybox! These teachers will get a personalized Sea Dogs' uniform top, a $500 check and the opportunity to join us on the field for a special ceremony. Best of all, they will have the opportunity to throw out one of the ceremonial first-pitches that evening, too!
