Taylor made his big-league debut in 2014 for Seattle after batting .328 with a .397 on-base percentage and .497 slugging percentage with the Rainiers that season. He hit five home runs and tallied 22 doubles and five triples. He batted .287 in 47 games for the Mariners that summer.

Taylor batted .254 with 17 home runs and 63 RBI in 155 games for the Dodgers in 2018. His best season came in 2017 when he batted .288 with 21 home runs and 72 RBI and a .354 on-base percentage in 140 games for Los Angeles.
