Tribute to Pro Wrestling Night is July 12, featuring "Mr. USA" Tony Atlas

(Reading, PA) - The Reading Fightin Phils will hold their annual Tribute to Pro Wrestling Night on Friday, July 12th, featuring a special appearance by professional wrestling Hall of Famer "Mr. USA," Tony Atlas. The Fightin Phils will be hosting the Trenton Thunder with a 7:10 p.m. first pitch at FirstEnergy Stadium.
The night will feature free autograph and photo sessions with Tony Atlas from 7:15-9 p.m. in the plaza, thanks to George's Cards and Collectibles.
VIP tickets are available for $20 in addition to the purchase of a game ticket, and include a pregame meet and greet, autograph, and photo with Atlas.
Fans can also watch family-friendly post-game wrestling with CHIKARA wrestling, and enjoy post-game fireworks presented by Capital BlueCross.
Anthony White, aka "Tony Atlas," is a former bodybuilder turned World Tag Team Champion and WWE Hall of Famer. He has won numerous power lifting and bench press competitions, and is also known by his bodybuilding title "Mr. USA," a distinction which he earned three times.
Atlas made his debut in 1974 with the National Wrestling Alliance.
Known for his imposing figure and signature Gorilla Press Slam, Atlas was particularly successful in Georgia early in his career, where he won the NWA Georgia Heavyweight, Television, and Tag Team Championships. Atlas also won several other regional championships during his time in the NWA.
Atlas was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006. Along with the NWA, he also worked with World Championship Wrestling, the NWA's Jim Crockett Promotions, the World Wrestling Council, World Class Championships Wrestling, the American Wrestling Association, and the World Wrestling Federation.
