ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists hit three Home Runs on Saturday night to account for all four of their runs scored. The visiting Winston-Salem Dash hit two Home Runs of their own, part of a 13-hit output, and defeated Asheville 10-4 in front of the biggest crowd at McCormick Field this season.

The Dash plated a run in the top of the first and another in the top of the second inning to take an early 2-0 lead. A.J. Lee tied the game in the bottom of the second with a two-run Home Run to deep left-centerfield.

Asheville’s momentum was short lived. The Dash scored the game’s next eight runs; three in the third, two in the fourth, and three more in the fifth; all of Asheville’s starting pitcher Alfredi Jimenez.

Chad Stevens clubbed a leadoff Home Run in the bottom of the fifth and Zach Daniels did the same in the bottom of the sixth. Stevens was the only Tourists player with multiple hits in the game; his second straight two-hit contest.

Cole McDonald took the mound for the Tourists in relief and proceeded to throw four shutout innings with only one hit allowed. McDonald struck out six while matching his longest career outing. Luis Santana and Cristian Gonzalez each contributed doubles in Asheville’s come-from-behind effort.

The series wraps up on Sunday afternoon at 1:05pm ET.
