Triple-A Phillies toss combined shutout against Toronto

Deivi Grullon drove in the lone run of the ballgame for the Phillies. Grullon now has RBIs in the each of the first three games this season. The team tallied six hits, including a double by
Grullon has been known as an offensive catcher throughout his young career and made the jump to Double-A in the late summer months. A 2017 midseason All-Star with Clearwater, Grullon appeared in 93 games between the two levels. The 22-year-old blasted a career high 12 home runs during the season and drove in 37 runs. Grullon will likely be back in Reading for the beginning of the 2018 season but could hit his way to Triple-A by the summer. u1:p

Invited to big league camp as a non-roster invite, Brandon Leibrandt is a promising arm in the Phillies farm system. A sixth-round pick out of Florida State University, Leibrandt made 25 starts in 2017 between Reading and Lehigh Valley. Leibrandt posted a 3.62 ERA and racked up a career-high 11 wins. u1:p
